This stranger is not a stranger, is my grandfather, the picture was taken by his daughter, my uncle in 1973. All the family, my grandfather, grandmother and their sons had been for the summer vacations to the city of the music located in the third planet. After six days of travel they arrived to the city, but in the place there was no one. They walk by all the city, come in houses, buildings, shops but any person was there. They were surprised, were was all the people? ¿Singers, bands, roadies? why any person tell them that in this date the music planet would not be operating? My grandfather was furious, after six days of travel and holidays had been lost. When they was about to leave the place they enter to an old theater that was full of abandoned things, in the stage parts of a drum and an old poster of an old band. My grandfather to not forget this moment and their frustrated holidays, took the stage and posed for a photo, under his arm he has his travel bag that never reached to disarm.

La meglio gioventu

One of my favourite films, not the only because i love a lot a film, is an Italian movie directed by Marco Tulio Giordano called “The Best Youth”. The film was created in a first moment for being showed in the television like a series that will be show in four parts but before the premier the director decided to transform it in a film with 2 parts or chapters of  two hours of duration. The best youth is a film that tell the recently story of Italy trough the story of a family and in special is focused in the live of two brothers. The story begins in the 60’s, years of student’s revolutions, when Nicola and Mateo Caratti are young and full of dreams and plans. But one day they meet a girl of the psychiatric hospital who receives electric shocks. This event will change their lives forever; will divide the live of brothers that until then were every time together and had the same dreams. The movie win a lot of awards in Italy the David Donatello awards, in Cannes and also the cesar awards, it’s a really interesting, beautiful, moving and simple film, totally recommended.

This web page offer documents of analysis and investigations generated by the CEPAL. Although there are not all documents, only papers that were digitalized is a great and varied data base. The documents were put in order by range of knowledge according to the concept and criterion of the library of the “United Nations”. The page have a large list of text, about all different topics like politics questions, economic development, environment, agriculture, education, international relations, transport and communication, social questions and job between others. The social science area is not divided by careers is divided by specifics topics like poverty, social class, minorities, domestic violence, family, etc and into these topics we can found documents created by specific  scientist, sociologist, psychologist, anthropologist, historians or documents wrote by interdisciplinary groups. I this moment, when a lot of internet pages was closed there is each time more difficult found and download academic texts so the virtual library of the CEPAL is really useful, now I don’t visit it so often because I’m not doing any work but for learning about any topic is good in any moment.
